The Farm

Welcome to our farm — ten acres of gently sloping land just outside Narberth in Pembrokeshire, where everything we grow is rooted in care, seasonality, and connection to the land. We work organically, growing vegetables, dye plants, herbs, flowers and seeds in small, diverse patches that reflect the rhythms of the year. Our farm is a place of nourishment and creativity — supplying fresh produce to our local community while growing the colour that inspires our studio work.

Produce

We grow a wide variety of seasonal vegetables using low-input, chemical-free methods that prioritise soil health and biodiversity. From crunchy spring greens to hardy winter roots, our veg is grown slowly, harvested by hand, and delivered locally.

Cut Flowers

Our cut flowers are grown with the same care and attention as our veg — without chemicals, and always in step with the seasons. From bold calendula and cosmos to soft pastel phlox and strawflower, our blooms are available in bunches, buckets, and for special events.

Seeds

We save a growing selection of open-pollinated seeds from our favourite dye and vegetable plants, selected for colour, resilience, and beauty. These are seeds grown on our farm, by hand, with a deep respect for place and plant. Available seasonally, they’re a way for others to grow a little piece of Hael in their own garden.

Produce

We grow a wide variety of seasonal vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers with a strong focus on soil health, biodiversity, and low-impact growing methods. Our approach is rooted in organic principles — no chemical sprays, no artificial fertilisers, just careful cultivation and respect for the land.

Our produce is available to wholesale customers, including restaurants, cafés, farm shops, caterers, and food producers who value quality, flavour, and traceability. We work closely with local chefs and stockists who want to source fresh, seasonal veg directly from the farm, harvested to order and delivered with care.

From bright spring leaves and summer courgettes to hardy autumn brassicas and winter roots, our harvests shift with the seasons — meaning our customers always get produce at its peak. We also grow less common varieties and heritage crops ideal for creative menus and seasonal specials.

If you're interested in working with us, please get in touch — we’re always happy to talk about what’s coming up in the field, create weekly availability lists, or discuss growing specific crops to order.

Seeds

Seed saving is at the heart of our long-term growing practice — a quiet, essential part of farming that connects us to place, to history, and to future harvests.

At Hael, we grow open-pollinated vegetable and dye plant varieties for the Wales Seed Hub — a farmer-led initiative working to build a resilient, regionally adapted seed system in Wales. These are not generic, mass-produced seeds, but living lines selected for their flavour, vigour, beauty, and suitability to our unique climate and soil.

Each season, we grow, observe, and carefully save seed from specific crops — choosing traits like resilience, colour quality, disease resistance, and seed yield. These seeds are then either replanted here on the farm or shared through the Wales Seed Hub network, helping other growers across the region access reliable, locally adapted seed.

By working in this way, we’re contributing to seed sovereignty in Wales — keeping genetic diversity alive and reducing our dependence on commercial seed companies. It’s slow, generational work, and we feel lucky to be part of it.

We occasionally offer small seasonal packs of seed from dye plants we’ve grown and loved. If you’re a grower, educator, or natural dyer interested in growing colour from seed, keep an eye on our updates — or get in touch to learn more.

Cut Flowers

Our cut flowers are grown slowly, seasonally, and entirely without chemicals — just healthy soil, good compost, and time. Grown alongside our dye plants and vegetables, the flowers at Hael reflect the landscape and rhythm of the Pembrokeshire seasons.

We grow a range of annuals, biennials, and perennials for cutting, as well as more unusual varieties chosen for their colour, form, and ability to support pollinators. Many of our flowers are also dual-purpose dye plants, meaning they’re beautiful in a bouquet and valuable in the dye pot.

Our flowers are available in bulk for florists, flower clubs, events, seasonal displays, and creative projects. Whether you're looking for a regular supply of blooms, specific varieties for a wedding or workshop, or simply want to source chemical-free flowers grown in Wales — we’d love to hear from you.

We also grow flowers for drying, which are available in limited quantities for use in displays, craft kits, or as additions to our dyed goods.

All our flowers are harvested to order to ensure peak freshness and minimal waste. We’re happy to share availability lists, offer growing information for florists and stylists, or collaborate on creative projects involving seasonal colour and bloom.
